I finally found two closet essentials after a long arduous hunt: white jeans and a denim jacket. And, for me, there is no better way to celebrate a successful shopping trip than with a new blog post. So here is my take on a double denim/Canadian tux (side note: where did that name come from?). I came across the jeans by a happy accident at Zara. I was actually looking for a pair of white distresses boyfriend jeans when I noticed someone else had tossed them over a rack and they happened to be in my size. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they fit and decided to grab them. As for the jean jacket, I've been wanting to find a nice vintage one, but I'm not much of a thrifter. And, again, found the jacket via a happy accident! Basically the universe wanted me to wear this outfit.
I love playing with monochrome looks and I decided to keep the blue theme going with a cute off-the-shoulder top. You would not believe how long I've been waiting to wear this top (since February to be exact). The weather finally decided to cooperate and I was able to pull it out from my closet! I love the little strap along the shoulder because it adds practicality and the stiff poplin fabric holds its shape to create a fantastic silhouette. I already know I'll be wearing everything here all Spring and Summer.
