I haven't been spending much time in the kitchen (or even at home) over the last couple of weeks so I don't have a new recipe just yet, but I have had some time to shoot more outfits. I really wish it would warm up already so I can go out sans jacket! Fingers crossed mother nature starts playing nice here in Toronto. And now that I've thoroughly complained about the weather let's get into this look. I've been itching to wear these super cool, cropped culottes I picked up during a shopping binge last month. I love the flowing silhouette and the wide legs. The fabric is light enough to be worn during the Summer months when you are looking for something edgy. Culottes definitely very downtown/streetstyle and they can be dressed up or down (as I've done here).
I chose to go for a casual look today and paired the pants with a light denim button up. Which, by the way, is a must for warmer months; it can used as a layering piece over dresses, styled with a skirt for a polished look, or worn tied up for an idgaf vibe. I left the last few buttons of my top undone and tied up the ends to give a cropped look. This elongates my legs, highlights my waist and shows off more of these gorgeous culottes. For some warmth and a bit of edginess, I threw on my blush oversized moto jacket. I love the exposed zippers on this piece and it's surprisingly warm.
For shoes and accessories I always go the minimal route. Here I added a pair of black patent loafers because they add to the tailored element of the pants and look cool af. On my wrists, I have a couple of cute little beaded bracelets. I like simple jewelry that can be worn with many outfits; and since I've been on a blush kick lately they fit into my wardrobe perfectly.
Big shoutout to Iconn Jewels for being super sweet and sending me a couple of bracelets to wear during the Spring and Summer months.
