I was really hoping to have another recipe up this week, but my avocados have refused to ripen (hashtag blogger struggles)! So instead, I thought I would expand on a post I did a few months back about my nail polish picks for fall/winter and bring you a few of my favorite lacquers for spring. I think this collection has something for everyone because there are neutrals, pastels and brights. And for good measure, I threw in a couple of macarons that are great for colour inspiration.
So let's go through all of these polishes and why I love them. Starting at the top is a gorgeous soft purple shade that is just begging to be on my fingers and toes. I love that the colour is really muted, but it is still refreshing. I love the formulation of Essie polishes because they always go on smoothly and are opaque with two coats. Moving clockwise, we reach a simple white nail polish; I find that white nails look so clean and crisp in the spring. They are the perfect accessory to any outfit whether you are wearing pastels or neutrals. Next I have another purple shade and I really felt the need to include both of the purples because they convey totally different vibes. The brighter purple is reminiscent of tulips at the flower market and its just a colour that makes me happy.
Up next is my second neutral pick. You're probably sick of seeing this colour because I've featured this polish in my fall picks as well! But I couldn't help it, there is no other polish that I reach for more than this one. If you don't own this colour already, please go to the nearest Sephora and pick it up. The colour is just the perfect nude on my skin because it doesn't wash me out. Nude polishes always make my fingers look long and dainty. Now for another bright polish, this blue reminds me of summer skies and what could be better than that? I don't think I can give a better compliment than that so lets move on to the last one. A light mint/turquoise is forever a spring staple; this last polish is the perfect middle ground between mint and jade, and it also a pastel.
