I have been feeling so re-energized this past week because it has been absolutely beautiful in Toronto. Spring weather is officially here and soon there will be cherry blossoms blooming! But for now, I'm willing to settle for green grass.
Today's outfit is all about monochrome dressing and easing into warmer temperatures. Recently, I've become obsessed with pastel blues (not really sure what sparked this...). The pieces I'm wearing here are quite versatile because they are light weight, while providing coverage to keep the limbs warm.
To help the outfit transition seamlessly from day to evening, I threw on a basic black leather biker jacket. I think that adding a biker jacket toughens up the outfit and keeps it from looking too precious and it creates contrast between the leather and linen. The top I'm wearing is amazing for spring and summer because it can be paired with anything at all from jeans and trousers to skirts and shorts. Personally, I enjoy playing with proportion and length, so I added a cropped, loose trouser. The high waist adds polish to the look and the soft blue hues work well together.
Since my outfit was quite simple, I decided to go all out on the jewelry and layer multiple pieces. I love the bohemian vibe of the beaded bracelets mixed with the polish of a jeweled cuff and dainty rings. To keep things looking cohesive I chose accessories that were in white, nude, and blue tones.
To add height and to lengthen the leg I opted for a nude heel. These are definitely one of my most comfortable shoes and I was able to walk around pretty much all day in these without having issues. The shorter heel makes the shoe practical for everyday life, but it helps make the leg look longer; especially because the shoe has a pointed toe.
I was going for a relaxed weekend vibe so I left my hair in its natural curl/wave. I kept my makeup really simple and I went to town with a highlight product to give my skin a lovely glow.
All the best,
