I went into Boston for a day with my family and thought I would share some pictures showing what I did and ate throughout the day.
This is the bridge that took us into the city (you might recognize it from Legally Blonde).
The first stop was Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. I saw these beautiful flower necklaces at a stall inside Quincy Market. Orchids are one of my favorite flowers and these looks so gorgeous and realistic!
Next we walked over to the harbor to sit by the water and enjoy the small parks in that area. I took this selfie with a fisheye lens attachment for iPhones so that I could get more of the harbor into the picture.
It was extremely hot on this day, so we decided to swing into Boston's North End and grab some gelato; I got the tiramisu flavor.
For lunch we stopped at Quattro on Hanover Street. The food was delicious; so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of the calamari and just jumped right in! I ordered the fig, arugala and goat cheese pizza. If you are ever in Boston, definitely stop by this place because everything we ordered was beyond our expectations and the atmosphere was also very nice.
It's family tradition to grab cannolis and other classic Italian desserts after a meal. This time around we stopped at Mike's Pastry and I got a chocolate ricotta cannoli.
We ended off the day by picking up some fruits and vegetables from the stalls near Quincy Market (unfortunately, I was so busy choosing mangoes that I forgot to take pictures!).
I hope you enjoyed this quick look into my day in Boston. Next week I will be posting another photo diary of my hiking adventures in northern New Hampshire and Maine!
All the best,
