Usually I like to wear bright colours on my nails in the summer, but this nail polish by Butter London reminded me of summer storms which are not uncommon in Toronto. I love listening to the rain and thunder, especially at night (for some reason I find it comforting?). Butter London's "No More Waity, Katie" captures the essence of a thunderstorm; it is a dark purple grey, like a heavy storm cloud. The purple micro glitter is like little flashes of lightening. The glitter seems muted most of the time and sparkles under just the right light.
The formulation of this product is wonderful. It glides on smoothly and evenly. And it took only two coats to get a perfectly opaque result. My only quip with this nail lacquer is the texture. When the polish dries the top is not smooth at all; the little bits of glitter make it feel grainy and rough. Of course, adding a top coat somewhat fixes the problem.
Unfortunately, my camera is refusing to cooperate with me right now so I cannot get a picture of my nails for this post. But, believe me, this polish is as pretty on the hands as it is in the bottle!
