Instead of my usual #manimonday post, this week I will be sharing my favorite nail polish colors for the fall (and early winter) season. The selection includes earthy tones, deep burgundy, and a few neutral shades. Keep on reading to see why I love these colors and where you can purchase them.
If I had to choose only one color from these, I would have to go with American Apparel's Port. It is a very deep burgundy/maroon/oxblood color that is very fall appropriate. Since the color is so dark, it can act almost as a neutral and it pairs well with nearly any outfit.
I also enjoy wearing OPI's A-Taupe the Space Needle because the color is quite hard to define; it looks very much like a leaf during the fall season because it has both brown and green tones. I think this is a great color on all skin tones and could even work as a beautiful nude on darker skin tones.
As you can see, I have three neutral polishes in this collection. Lighter polishes are great because when they being to chip or fade it is less noticeable than it would be with a darker color.
I specifically like Dior's Incognito; this polish has pink undertones and looks very classic and understated.
Monumental from Formula X is the perfect nude shade for my skin tone (medium with neutral undertones) because it is neither too pink or too yellow. This color is a great base for adding embellishments such as glitter or studs.
The last neutral polish is Essie's Chinchilly. I've featured this color before and that's because I absolutely love it; the color is an almost purple-grey. I like to wear Chinchilly when I want a neutral polish that will stand out among the crowd; this color define's minimalist chic.
